Hey ladies, how y’all doing in that mid-spring heat?

If you’re here in Texas, you know the sun has been BEAMING on us.

But no matter your location, make sure you’re staying hydrated, and eating plenty of water-rich fruits and veggies.

As we know, great weather encourages us to be outdoors more.

For some us that means, planning vacations, attending more social functions — and sometimes, eating more than we wanted to.

But, great weather can also encourage us to get more active.

Whether you’re planning to hit the beach soon or just want to feel better about yourself, a little motivation couldn’t hurt.

Am I right?

Because sometimes, it’s just hard to stay motivated to work out.

Even when you know the results will benefit you tremendously.

So we’ve put together a list of creative ways for you to stay motivated to exercise.

Whether rain, shine, or extreme laziness, here are creative ways to stay motivated to workout:

  • Buy cute workout gear and lay it out the night before. Ladies, we love to look and feel great. Why not use it to our advantage?

  • Challenge friends with your fitness goals. Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition. Put your goals out there and challenge your friends. See who can lose the most weight. Or better yet, see who can be the most consistent.

  • Go play in the park in your city. Take your kids and/or pet and go to your local park. Play catch or freeze tag and relive your childhood by getting more active outside.

  • Add motivational messages to your alarm clock. Smartphones have many features that can help us meet goals. It’s not just Instagram and distractions. “Time to get up and conquer the day.👏👏👏 You got this. 👏👏👏”

  • Join a recreational team. Remember playing kickball or softball? Why not do it as an adult? This is a great way to build friendships and stay in shape.

  • Signup for a 5K. If you’ve ever thought about running a race, it’s an awesome way to stay motivated. Because you can’t just show up on race day without preparation. You must train in order to do your best.

  • Create a new workout playlist. This is a an easy but often overlooked way to get excited about working out. We love great music in the car and at concerts, why not incorporate more motivating songs during exercise? Consider revamping your playlist if it’s getting stale and routine.

These are just a few creative ways to motivate yourself to work out more.

But I’m curious.
