Don’t sweat your cardio.

As a women, the health of your heart is extremely important to your health overall. Especially with the rise of heart disease and other cardiac related illnesses.

That’s why many health experts recommend doing cardio.

30 minutes at 3 to 5 times a day is a great start.

But what if you don’t like running?

Unfortunately, we’ve been taught to associate cardio only with running.

But, in reality, there’s a wide range of exercises we can do to raise our heart-rates.

I’m here to share with my ladies who don’t like running so much.

Or maybe you like running but want to switch up your routine a bit.

Here are 5 cardio alternatives that you can do besides running.

  1. Dance Class - Dance is a great way to get your heart-rate going at a healthy pace. It’s also fun and invigorating. In fact, Lyfestyle 180 has actually had dance classes in the past and our ladies saw great results from them.

  2. Jump Rope - You may believe that jump rope is reserved just for kids but you’d be surprised. Many women benefit from just 1-2 minutes of jump rope a day. Or, if you’re in for a challenge, try doing intervals with a jump rope and treadmill. Jog at a stead pace for 2 minutes, then jump rope for one minute.

  3. Cycling - Spin classes are more popular than ever. But you don’t have to wait until a class opens up. Dust off your old bike and ride in your neighborhood or down a trial.

Now, of course, you don’t have to be an expert to get started.

You just have to commit to the change.
